Transportation to Kotatieva

Welcome to ice skate on a beautiful forest trail in Rovaniemi! For the upcoming winter season 2023-2024 we will offer several transportation options. The MOST WANTED is a bus connection from Rovaniemi town center to Kotatieva for the day visitors and this ride will be free of charge for online ticket buyers. The availability of seats is limited so better book fast!

A free bus ride with the DAY ticket

We want to make it as easy as possible for our guests to visit us, therefore we are offering a chance to choose transportation service free of charge together with your day ticket. If you want to get the lift from Rovaniemi town via Santa Claus Village to Kotatieva and back, select it when you are purchasing your tickets in our online shop by picking a suitable transportation time for you. Free transportation is available only when buying A Day in Kotatieva -tickets online.

Please note that there is only one pick up point in the Rovaniemi town centre and one pick up point at Santa Claus Villge. We do not collect passengers from their own accommodation or other locations.

There are 3 bus rounds per day. You cannot change or swap the times after booking.

The pick up point is in the Rovaniemi town centre, next to Rinne shopping centre, on the street Poromiehentie. On Google Maps the bus stop is named Porokulma E. We do not collect passengers from their own accommodation or other locations.

The pick up point at Santa Claus Village is at the parking lot next to Santa’s Pizza & Burger. The pick up times at Santa Claus Village are 9:45 am, 10:45 am, and 11:45 am.

The availability of the seats on the bus is limited, so the earlier you book the better the chances! Please note that the transportation times are fixed. Once you have booked a suitable transportation option (1, 2, or 3), you can’t change the return time. The tickets and transportation must be booked latest on the morning (by 9am) of your visit day.

Before your visit, check your transportation time you’ve booked with your day pass. The time is on your ticket. Be well on time at the pick up point and have your ticket ready before getting into bus.

Transportation for the day ticket with sauna and hot tub

For the day ticket with sauna and hot tub a transportation is available as an option with an additional fee. The cost for the transportation is €100. The pick-up and drop-off address is your accommodation address in Rovaniemi town area. Please leave your address when doing the booking by filling the Information-box or send an email to: info@kotatieva.fi. The pick-up time is 10am and the drive back leaves at 3:15pm.

The tickets and transportation must be booked latest 2 days before your visit.

Transportation for Aurora Skating

If you want to book the transportation service with your Aurora Skating ticket, the service is available with an additional fee of €100. The pick-up and drop-off address is your accommodation address in Rovaniemi town area. Please leave your address when doing the booking by filling the Information-box or send an email to: info@kotatieva.fi. The pick-up time is 6pm and the drive back leaves at 9pm.

The tickets and transportation must be booked latest 2 days before your visit.

Transportation for Aurora Skating with Sauna and Hot Tub

If you want to book the transportation service with your Aurora Skating with Sauna and Hot Tub ticket, the service is available with an additional fee of €100. The pick-up and drop-off address is your accommodation address in Rovaniemi town area.

For our cabin visitors we provide free airport transfer. Please leave your flight details when doing the booking by filling the Information-box or send an email to: info@kotatieva.fi.
